Overview

Our Lady of Fatima preschool is a non-profit, catholic, parish run preschool. Each class consists of 20 children and 2 teachers. Classes are offered for 3 and 4 year old children. We believe children learn best through play and their learning is extended by the teachers. They are exposed to a variety of materials that develop their social and emotional development, cognitive development, fine and gross motor skills, faith and language development.

Sensory

Children will explore and discover a variety of centres, such as: block corner, dramatic play area, sand play, bead table, rice table, water play, paint easel, table toys and puzzles, light table/science table, art table and music corner.  And much more!!!

Practical Life Skills

We want each child to reach their maximum potential.

Our program is based on themes and incidental learning so that children can learn about the world around them in a safe non-judgemental environment.

Our aim is to promote the development of the whole child through our faith based program. We strive for open ended activities that are tailored to each child’s development age which ensures a sense of achievement for all children. Each child’s effort is respected and appreciated.

Families are respected for their individuality and needs. We welcome and encourage families to contribute their set of diverse skills and talents to further enrich our program.

Goals

Our preschool is built upon a positive environment to help children become eager lifelong learners.

Together, we will work with you to achieve our goals:
Faith – extend the child’s learning of our catholic faith
French language – introduction to French for children who may be entering a French immersion program.
Literacy – promoting literacy skills through access to our in house library; children have the ability to borrow library.
Community – extending the classroom with field trips and in-call visitors to expose and explore the community around us.
Special Events & Days – celebrate special events and days in the lives of the children. Parents are often invited into the classroom to participate in our celebrations.
