Fall is here, and we finally have some rain! A special season to be thankful for all that we have. Thank you for donating to the food drive for St.Vincent De Paul, the families in our community are very appreciative of this. Once again, the Lord has richly blessed our ministry here working with your children. God continues to bless our preschool with Fr. Mark, Fr. Claude and sister Olive, dedicated staff and parish support.

We have a very busy schedule, so please check your calendar so that you don’t miss any of the fun events being planned, and also it gives you a point of interest to talk about school with your child.

This month being October, we will be learning about signs of fall, harvest, Thanksgiving, change of weather and Halloween.

At the end of preschool classes please be respectful of Fatima Elementary school and do not have your child stay and play on the playground as it’s distracting to the school students and teachers. You may go to Burns Park just up the street and play there. The principle has asked for your cooperation in this matter.

Thank you to the parents for supplying packaged healthy party food for the birthday in class celebration.

Please mark your calendars:

• Oct. 27 & 28– Costume Party ( please bring a food item, i.e. fruit cup in individual cups, orange and black food items. Be creative. No homemade food items allowed at this time. Must be individually packed.)

• Oct. 31 – Please wear orange and black

• Nov. 3 & 4 – In class christmas card fundraiser project. Please have your child wear a white shirt, dark pants, and white socks for boys and girls. Please note if your child has a beautiful white or cream coloured christmas shirt or dress they could wear that.

Thank you to our parents for helping at the pumpkin patch fieldtrip, and donating clothes for our clothing drive fundraiser. We will do another clothing drive fundraiser in the new year. So, please collect usable clothing or materials for us.

We are looking for volunteers to make play dough. If you are interested, please contact us. Thanks you!

Snow closure reminder!!
If we experience a heavy snowfall we will leave a message on the answering machine if we will be closing the preschool. Also listen to CKNW 9080 or watch global tv for snow closures, if fatima school closes, then for sure the preschool is closed. However, if you feel the roads are unsafe it is your decision to drive or stay home (A day in the snow is fun too!). Please bare in mind the preschool is operated througn the ministry of health and is operated from fatima school. The preschool may be closed but the fatima school may be open. Please look at our website for updates.

It is a joy to be working with all the children and families, and we look forward to all our special projects happening in the next few months. Lots of surprises planned!

Your preschool teachers,
